Preparing for your Appointment

What you should bring:

• Any pertinent medical records or notes from your referring provider
• Insurance cards and referrals if required by your insurance company
• A list of current medications and dosages
• Current glasses and contact lenses (Contact lens boxes or blister packs are helpful)
• Sunglasses - We dilate patients at comprehensive exams, which may cause light sensitivity for a few hours after your appointment
• Paperwork (If you have filled your forms out in advance, otherwise please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out paperwork)

Appointments for comprehensive eye exams take about one hour if your eyes are dilated.  During your exam, we review your medical and ocular history, check your glasses and contact lens prescriptions, and examine the health of the eye, including screenings for glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.  For more information, click what to expect at comprehensive eye exams.
